Team Glangarnant have proved themselves to be a creative bunch by making a person they support’s tattoo dreams come true.
Hayley, who is supported at the service, loves tattoos and often admires the sleeves that some of the people who work at Glangarnant have inked on their arms.
So, Hayley likes to have her own sleeve designs done, and the artistic support staff are happy to oblige, leading to some magnificent creations.
Team Leader Dan Mainwaring said: “Hayley loves our tattoos, and she wants to have them too so she can be ‘part of the gang’, so to speak.
“We support her to look online to find the designs she likes, and then one of us draws them free-hand on her arm.
“It’s a lovely activity to do with Hayley as she’s often rushing about and it’s not easy for her to sit still. But when we are doing her tattoos it’s a relaxing experience and very bonding between Hayley and whoever is supporting her.”
When the designs are finished, Hayley loves nothing better than making sure everybody gets to look at the results.
Dan added: “Hayley is so proud of her tattoos, so she likes to keep her sleeve on display.
“She enjoys going around and showing the designs to people and soaking up the praise that’s given.
“It makes us all happy to see her enjoying herself so much!”
