Jubilee Joy at Seaham View Party

Team Seaham View threw a jubilee party fit for royalty this June to mark Her Majesty’s platinum milestone.

The people supported at Seaham View started their preparations earlier in the week, for the Queen’s Jubilee as they created bunting and banners during craft sessions. Since the service is famous in the local area for putting up fabulous window displays, everyone wanted to do the Queen proud. Once the windows, dining room and conservatory were festooned with royal decorations, it was time for the celebrations to begin.

Deputy Manager Lyndsey Shackler said it was a joyous occasion:

“The people we support had a great time – it was a terrific party! There was music, dancing and delicious BBQ food. We all got to choose from hotdogs, burgers and corn from the grill. We had the most scrumptious cookies and ice cream for dessert, which were good enough for the royal family themselves!”

Throughout the day, Seaham View streamed live footage of the official jubilee pageantry in London. The people supported were able to watch the scenes of Prince William, Prince Charles and their families enjoying tributes to the Queen.

Lyndsey also said:

“It was great to enjoy our own jubilee party and watch what was going on in the capital. The atmosphere was lovely, and it was fabulous to see everyone having such a good time. We hope we did Her Royal Highness justice!”
