Kieran Monkeys Around At Local Animal Sanctuary

There was no shortage of animal magic for Kieran this January when he took a trip to the Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary in Neath.

Lucky Kieran banished the January blues by wrapping up warm for the visit, where he met a host of cheeky primates.

Interestingly, all the animals at the sanctuary have been rescued from either laboratories, zoos or the pet trade.

Now, they live happily amongst other rescue animals, including meerkats, goats, parrots and savannah cats.

Having the chance to get up close to some of the most fantastic creatures on the planet meant Kieran had a day to remember.

Team Leader Abby-Jo O’Sullivan said: “We had an amazing day out at the Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary.

“It’s incredible to think that all these animals have been rescued and are now living their best lives so close to our home.

“Kieran absolutely loved getting to meet so many different types of monkeys and apes, and it was an added bonus that so many other animals were there.

“It’s such a heart-warming place, and Kieran had a truly magical time there.”

His recent day trip is just one of the fun-filled activities that Kieran has been enjoying this year.

He also had a fun morning with his support team, who taught him how to jump rope.

Abby-Jo added: “It’s so great to help the people we support to learn new things, it certainly keeps our job interesting!

“Kieran really enjoyed learning to jump rope and he did fantastically.

“What’s lovely is how happy he was with himself when we’d finished, and we could see a newfound confidence, which is lovely.”
