Rob Carves Up Some Halloween Thrills!

This Halloween will be extra spooky at Maesteilo Mansions thanks to the incredible wood decorations made by talented Rob.

Rob loves doing woodwork at the Maesteilo Hub, and tutor Sam Lloyd-Smith has been helping him and other people supported there to create some terrific Halloween horrors.

The creative carvings include a pumpkin head, a Day of the Dead skull and a scary mummy with red eyes.

Unlike the single-use plastic decorations sold in shops, these wooden wonders are built to last and will bring the thrills year in and year out.

For Rob, the project has been great fun and really satisfying.

Vocational Services Manager Lucy Williams said the Halloween project is another terrific example of work done by the team at the Maesteilo Hub.

Lucy said: “The Halloween decorations are so unique, and it’s all credit to Rob and the other people supported by Sam.

“The woodwork sessions at the Maesteilo Hub are so good for helping build confidence and teaching new skills.

“Rob has excelled in his woodwork, and the Halloween decorations are a terrific example of how far he’s come.”
