Swanton CC Hull Recruitment Flyer Winners Revealed!

Three brilliant flyers designed by the people supported at Swanton’s Care & Community Hull will be used in a new recruitment campaign.

Earlier this year, Swanton CC Hull launched a competition asking for recruitment flyers to attract new talent to their services.  The creative people supported across the region got their thinking caps on, and every service submitted at least one entry. So, choosing the top three entries was a tough task, says Interim Locality Manager Lisa Goodwin. Lisa said:

“We were blown away by the number of entries and the high standard. It was important to us that everybody got involved as it’s the people we support who know what it takes to be a good Swanton team member. As we’d hoped, they were able to capture the spirit of Swanton CC Hull beautifully.”

The winners were presented with their awards at a fun-filled ceremony and party on Monday 4th April and quality Checker Alicia Hull presented the certificates and prizes, while Lily Rose – who lives at Westbridge – did the photography.

The judging panel included Swanton CEO Andrew Dalton, COO Gary Thompson, Quality Assurance Lead Rachael Preece, Head of Development Tom Wilson, Development Director Noel Davies, Executive Assistant Skala Peach, Recruitment Advisor Lauren Batty and Regional Directors Tom Pick, Jackie Hills, Kate Pearce, Karen Connery and Dhiraj Rijhwani. The judges decided to award the £30 voucher first prize to Emma from Westbridge for her excellent entry.

“Emma’s flyer was full of positive messages about coming to work with us. We loved how she described the job as ‘an adventure’ and pointed out that ‘no day is the same’. It was an excellent flyer and very deserving of first prize.”

The second prize went to Katie from Huckleberry House, who received £20 worth of vouchers. Baylis Place’s David was third and took home a £10 voucher.

“Katie is so creative – we really liked her use of colour and the fact she mentioned having fun with us.  It was great to see David had drawn an ear on his entry because listening to the people we support is so important in our work. It was a fabulous celebration a good time had by all.”

The winning flyers will be used as part of a social media campaign and hand-delivered by team colleagues and people we support in the local area.
