Swanton Launches New Intranet to Connect, Support and Empower Teams

We’re excited to announce the launch of Swanton Care & Community’s very first company-wide intranet — a major step forward in how we work together, share information, and stay connected across the organisation.

Launching with a phased rollout this week, the new intranet creates a single, accessible space where colleagues can find everything they need — from the latest news and service location maps to essential resources, quick links and a fully searchable policy library.

The intranet brings together key areas like Operations, the People Team, Quality & Compliance, Estates and Business Development into one shared digital home. It’s a space where departments can align, collaborate, and access consistent, up to date information.

The platform is designed to support and streamline the everyday experience for colleagues across Swanton, helping teams feel more informed, connected and empowered in their roles.

“This is more than just a platform — it’s part of a bigger journey to bring our teams closer together,” said Steve Adlam, IT Director at Swanton.

“The intranet allows us to share knowledge, align departments, and work more collaboratively across the organisation — which ultimately benefits the people we support.”

One of the most exciting features is the new policy library — giving staff quick, easy access to up-to-date policies, guidance and SOPs. For the first time, everything is searchable, centralised and easy to navigate, helping to streamline access to essential information and ensure consistency across services.

And with intranet news also shared via Teams alerts, staff will stay in the loop — wherever they’re working.

This launch is a key milestone in Swanton’s wider digital transformation journey. Earlier this year, we also announced the introduction of Access Care Planning (ACP) — our new digital care planning system, which is helping to modernise and improve how we deliver, manage and document care.

Together, the intranet and ACP reflect Swanton’s ongoing commitment to digital growth and high-quality, person-centred care.
