Swanton has been celebrating a summer of adventure by rewarding the people supported at their services for their intrepid antics.
We set out to find the most adventurous people we support by posing a series of August challenges designed to make the most out of the peak summer month.
As ever, the people we support didn't disappoint as they threw themselves into the challenge and now their achievements are being celebrated.
The Grove in Middlesborough was awarded the 'Service With The Highest Participation' Award, having clocked up the most adventures during the summer. They were commended for their enthusiasm and teamwork, which shone through.
Amy from Deanston House in Doune was named the 'Top Stepper' after smashing the challenge to do the most steps in one day and one month. As a walking enthusiast who loves nothing better than challenging herself, Amy was a surefire winner.
It was a tie for the 'Most Exciting or Imaginative Activity' gong between children’s service Courtyard Care's Wolves View in Suffolk and Maesteilo Mansion in Llandeilo.
The team from Wolves View took the children they support UFO hunting in Rendlesham Forest. Meanwhile, Matthew from Maesteilo achieved a lifelong dream by doing an indoor skydive.
Swanton Telford's beach party and the Olympics at Maes Yr Bryn, Treharris, were jointly awarded the 'Most Inclusive Activity' trophy.
According to Swanton's Viktoria Watts, the August Adventures have provided unforgettable experiences and plenty of joy for the people supported at services across the nation.
Viktoria said: "We have been delighted to see how the services have taken the August Adventures challenge and run with it.
"There have been a fantastic range of adventures and so many brilliant stories of joyful moments along the way.
"Congratulations to all our winners, and well done to everybody who got involved."
