Many of the Vocational team and colleagues dressed up as chicks and bunnies around the park and gave out clues and eggs at each stop. Treharris Park is now home to a new artwork trail where visitors can see stunning wood carvings from artist Chris Wood.
Vocational Services Manager Lucy Williams said it was a day of fun for everyone. Lucy said:
“Treharris Park was the ideal location for our fabulous Easter egg hunt. It’s such an outstandingly beautiful place, and the people we support had so much fun looking for their eggs. Our colleagues and some of the people we support were game for a laugh and got their costumes on to add to the Easter theme. Everyone got a full-size Easter Egg at the end, and then it was back to The Hub for more celebrations.”
“It was lovely to host a little bit of food and fun at The Hub. We’re excited to open up for many more events over the next few months.”
At The Hub, the people supported by the local Values In Care services enjoyed hotdogs, burgers and refreshments. Everyone enjoyed cooling down after the busy afternoon at the stunning Treharris Park.
