An emotional wedding day was made extra special for Tyler’s mum, Leanne, when both her sons walked behind her down the aisle.
Tyler, who is supported at Values In Care’s Saer Coed service, and his brother Tyrone proudly accompanied their mum on her big day.
Leanne married her fiancé Lee at Newport’s Lysaght Institute in September in a beautiful ceremony, made all the more special by Tyler’s attendance.
Saer Coed Manager Kelly Powell said everyone was so proud of Tyler for playing such a big part of the festivities.
Kelly said: “Tyler made his mum’s dreams come true on Saturday – it was a truly wonderful occasion.
“It’s a massive achievement for Tyler to overcome his anxieties around busy places and take part in a big family outing.
“This is the first time he’s been able to participate in an event like this, and he continues to amaze us with his resilience and bravery.”
Tyler moved into Saer Coed in 2021 and has made fantastic progress since then.
His support team have been working with Tyler to build his confidence by going out into the local community for shopping trips and getting him involved in activities such as trampoline parks.
“After the ceremony, Tyler relaxed in the garden and enjoyed watching the celebrations around him.
“But one of the most beautiful moments was when he told his mum that she looked like a princess, which made everyone very emotional.
“We’re so proud of Tyler for being a huge part of the day and for posing for a lovely family photograph that will take pride of place at his home.”
