Creative people supported at Pant Yr Odyn are breathing new life into unloved pieces of furniture as part of a new upcycling project.
As well as giving fading furniture a glow-up, the talented up-cyclers are also making stunning murals out of discarded pieces of wood.
Pant Yr Odyn’s colleagues are supporting with the project, which is making the service look stunning through sustainability.
Service Manager Marta Nowak says she’s been blown away by the results, which are now proudly on display throughout Pant Yr Odyn.
Marta said: “This is such an inspiring journey for the people we support and the staff team.
“Through this process, they are unleashing their creativity and expressing themselves in meaningful ways, all while contributing to the aesthetics of their surroundings.
“Their resourcefulness extends beyond artistic expression as each upcycled piece reflects a commitment to sustainability.”
The project has given everyone involved great pride as they can admire the murals and use the furniture they’ve transformed.
Marta added: “By repurposing materials that might have otherwise gone to waste, the people we support are reducing the environmental footprint of Pant Yr Oyn. This is an eco-friendlier approach to daily life.
“This project not only showcases the talent and dedication of the people we support but also highlights the positive environmental impact that can be achieved through innovation and creativity.”
