A St David’s Day craft competition at the Hub inspired the people supported at Swanton’s services to celebrate Wales with fantastic creations.
Winners from Allt Ioan and Ynysdawela got a lovely surprise when Hub Activities Manager Karen Jeffreys presented them with their prizes – a hamper of delicious chocolate treats.
They were among the people we support who submitted St David’s Day competition entries capturing the wonder of Wales in various craft forms.
Karen said: “We had a terrific time doing Welsh-themed crafts at The Hub, and the results were spectacular.
“Some people we support made Welsh Lady and daffodil pottery, and others made pictures and collages celebrating Wales.
“I was so proud of their efforts and the vibrant results.”
In addition to the crafting, some people chose to make Welsh cakes and Karen lauded their efforts too.
Karen added: “It is a fantastic opportunity for people to celebrate our Welsh heritage.
“I love the positivity and enthusiasm the people we support have for doing activities at The Hub, and the St. David’s Day competition made it extra special.
“Congratulations to all our winners and everyone who took part. You did Wales proud with your fantastic creations!”
